Our Business

Olinger & Associates began in 1989 dedicated to helping individuals and small businesses with their tax and accounting needs.  Originally located in Wheaton, the firm moved to Glen Ellyn in 1998 where it is still located today.  Our firm does not offer investment or legal advice but is highly qualifed to be our client's advocate in understanding those challenges.  Our primary goal as a trusted advisor is to be available to provide insightful advice to enable our clients to make informed financial decisions. The secret of our success is our desire to build lasting relationships with each of our clients.

Our President and Founder

Dick Olinger is a certified public accountant and president of Olinger & Associates, P.C. He graduated from Miami University in Ohio with his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration.  He furthered his education at DePaul University in Chicago with courses in the Masters of Taxation program.  He is a Registered Public Accountant in Illinois and belongs to the American Institue of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society .

Before founding the Firm, Dick was a Senior Manager with the international public accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers working primarily in the tax department and had extensive experience in the employee benefits department, international taxation section, and the audits of companies' financial statements.  In addition to his work with PWC, he has had extensive industry experience: holding positions as Chief Financial Officer, Controller and Regional Sales Manager for manufacturing and distribution operations.

Dick is also a speaker and author on various tax and employee benefit topics.
